AS A BUSINESS SPONSOR

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: (FROM BUSINESS SPONSOR)
- Evidence that the business is legally established
- ACN Number
- Date of Registration - Company certificate of registration
- the type of business the company is operating
- the size of the business including the number of employees (at least 10) and the location of offices or plants
- A brief description of type of company and its business.
- On your company letterhead
- set out the type of business that you are operating,
- the size of the business, showing the number of employees,
- the location of your office.
- Explain how the employment of the sponsored employee will either create competitiveness within sectors of the Australian economy or expansion of services in your area of business or the maintenance of employment.
- Evidence that the business is actually and actively engaged in business activities
- Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement (prepared by an accountant) showing comparative figures for the last 2 fiscal years AND
- Evidence of business activity and business transactions
- Evidence of trading of the company sponsor-nominator, such as contracts entered into, etc. (if newly established company)
- Evidence of any of your business activities, i.e., business transactions, invoices etc. Brochures would also be helpful.
- Statement that the employment of the visa applicant will contribute to:
- the creation or maintenance of employment for Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents, or;
- expansion of Australian trade in goods or services; or
- the improvement of Australian business links with international markets; or
- competitiveness within sectors of the Australian economy; and
- the applicant for approval proposes to be the direct employer in Australia of the visa applicant;
- - In the case of body corporate:
- Evidence that the parent company is acting as a sponsor on behalf of subsidiaries.
- Documentary evidence that the business:
- will introduce to, or utilise or create in, Australia new or improved technology or business skills; or
- has a satisfactory record of, or a demonstrated commitment towards, training Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents employed in the business in Australia;
- Evidence of the applicant's past training record showing the type of training conducted and the number of employees trained
- Current training program showing the type of training conducted and the number of employees being trained
- Proposed training program showing the type of training conducted and the number of employees to be trained
- Evidence of funds allocated to training in the last financial year
- Evidence the applicant’s financial commitment to training
- On the company letterhead set out details of the company’s past training record and what your company is doing in respect to training and/or you may wish to describe your commitment towards training in the future. Details of the nominating company's training strategy, listing its objectives and how to achieve them. Evidence of training of employees provided by the employer such as in-house training , external training including apprenticeship. Provide evidence of apprentices or other employees in your business undergoing current training. Include with that documentation, evidence of their residence or citizenship, i.e, passport or birth certificate.

- that there has been no unacceptable history of involvement in business or investment activities.
